On the Ramp

When I was in India, I got the opportunity to be a ramp model for one night. I actually didn’t want to participate at first, but as they needed some more models I agreed. The institute where I was studying was celebrating their 25th silver jubileum. This had been a great experienced for me. I had bought a saree for my friend’s wedding, which I wore at the fashion show. How do I look in my saree?

I had bought these Elle nail pops which I had combined with black nailpaint from the Indian brand True Colors, which I bought for less then $1. :)

This is how the red nailpolish looks like. I was wearing it to the birthday party previous Saturday.

From the Elle brand I also had bought a kohl eye liner which I wear almost every workday and which I love.

I amost have 100 followers on my blog! Yay…thanks for following everyone! I will definitely be following you back if I haven’t followed you back yet.

Hugs and kisses

Jewelry time!

It’s jewelry time now! Months back, I had created some jewelries, but I was lazy in the writing part, so I’m going to place those jewelries out here now, together with some Avon jewelries that I like.

Blissful Blues Drop Pendant Gift Set

About this product
This set is a faux stone set in burnished brass. The necklace is 17'' long with a 3'' extender.  The pierced earrings are 1½'' long.

What do I think about this product?
This is a very pretty set; I love the sparkling faux stones of this set.

Pink party bangles
I had planned to wear my pink sari to my cousin’s wedding party. A sari is a 5½ meters long unstitched garment that’s wrapped around the body. It’s a perfect fit for women of all sizes and worn world-wide by millions of women. I actually don’t know how to wear a sari, but my elder sister and my mom had helped me with it. I’ll place some sari pictures out here next time.
Everything matched perfectly, but the only thing missing were some matching bangles. So I decided to make my own bangles.

The watch and the Solitaire Ring with Jacket Set are Avon jewelries. The ring is a Silverstone CZ ring with two crystal-accented jackets. I actually love the rings with jackets from Avon and I love wearing them all together.
You can wear the 3-piece jacket rings 3 ways:
ü  Solitaire alone
ü  Jacket alone
ü  All together
The ‘Solitaire Ring with Jacket Set’ isn’t available at Amazon, but there is another Avon jacket set, the ‘Marquise Ring with Jacket Set’ available that looks a little bit different then my ring.

These beads were perfectly matching; I had polished some wooden beads with my pink Avon nail polish.
Tada! This is what I had finally created.

Shiny chains with crystals - anchor set

I started with threading clear beads together with silver colored seed beads through pieces of metallic strings and curling it at the ends.

The next step to do was to attach the chains to the button. The button had holes on the back, so it was easy to attach the chains with metallic strings. The final step was to attach the curling pieces to the chains and finally the closures.

I also made a bracelet. I’ve used a matching button with an anchor on it. To make the holes invisible, I threaded silver colored seed beads through a stretchy string going through the holes.

And finally my earrings; the silver plated chains actually are shiny. I had perfected the loops, but the final picture is still in dad’s camera. Sorry for that, I’m a bit busy working on my thesis and my thesis has priority. I’ll change this picture the next time I’m online.

This is how my 3-piece set looks like.

I attached the set to a solid plastic board so the pieces wouldn’t be clinging to each other.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
My cousin is celebrating her 21st birthday tomorrow, so I’m looking forward to it.
I enjoyed this week and the outing with one of my best friends.
Hugs en kisses!
